The upper store served as the living quarters for the owner and his family. This section with 5-6
rooms offers to visitors a sneak peek into how families of such stature organized their living
during the late Ottoman rule over the country. The social dynamics of that period are clearly
visible in the composition of the floor and that of each room such as the guest or men’s room,
the couples’ room, the family room, the women and childrens’ room, and the baths. The upper
store is distinguished by its magnificent ceilings embroidered in wooden coverings and rosettas
of different sizes, shapes, and stylings. Mural paintings with pastoral sceneries, fire chimneys,
windows with traditional motifs and tapestry works are present in respective rooms. Among the
countless artefacts on display, visitors can notice many old kitchen utensils, wood containers,
bridal and groom costumes along with additional garments and accessories, dowry chests,
hand-made rosettes, a copper brazzer, and wooden dining tables.
